A London mum has launched a lawsuit after her son was forced to attend the Pride parade by his school. As it turned out, several parents had a conflict with the school after the children received LGBTQ-themed education against the will of the parents, reports the international news agency V4NA.
Izzy Montague is suing her son's London primary school for oppression, discrimination and human rights violations after the school forced her then four-year-old son to take part in the Pride parade. Because of his Christian faith, Montague asked the school principal that his son not have to participate in the parade, but he was refused.
She later took her child out of the institution. She said she took her son from school because she wanted him to be educated, not influenced.
Izzy Montague told Christian Headlines: I stand by my position to make other parents aware of what is going on in our primary schools.
The case will be discussed by the court in the second half of July, and the issue of freedom of religion, the right of parents to withdraw their children from ideological education, and the school's duty to be politically neutral will be examined in connection with the case. The mother is represented by the Christian Legal Centre. The legal organization has already provided help to Christians in countless cases who were discriminated against or tried to disable them because of their religious beliefs. The CEO of the organization emphasized in connection with the case that this case also highlights the chaos that parents can expect in schools in the coming years. As he said, those who preach full acceptance and diversity don't seem to practice it. Different ideologies are imposed on children, and parents simply have no way to teach their children according to their own religious or philosophical views.
It's not that I want to live in a shell, but that parents can give their children their own opinion about the world, emphasized Izzy Montague, speaking on the Good Morning Britain program.
A Facebook page also points out that when the mother, Izzy Montague, met with the school's principal, Susan Papas , Papas' lesbian daughter was also present, "Why would you be racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic when you can just keep quiet?" in a T-shirt with an inscription. The director's daughter showed her arrogance and complete lack of tolerance for other opinions when she deliberately appeared in front of Izzy in such an outfit, the site wrote.
The Christianity Daily news portal points out that the school's principal, Papas, has had conflicts with parents in the past. In 2018, 14 Christian parents complained that their child had to attend Pride and various LGBTQ-themed classes and activities. At the time, Papas only responded that the school was against homophobia.
Two ten-year-old children were suspended by Papas, who, citing their religion, asked not to participate in an LGBTQ-themed session. Papas and another teacher called the ten-year-old children homophobic, shouted at them, absurdly accused them of wanting to kill homosexuals. One of the children, a little girl, told Christian Concern her story. He said his classmates stand by him.
