The introduction of personal income tax exemption for women who give birth between the ages of 25 and 30 would improve the demographic indicators, emphasized the founder and president of the Young Families Club (Ficsak) on the current channel M1 on Sunday.

Nóra Király reacted to the government's plan, according to which if a woman who has reached the age of 25 - who is no longer eligible for the youth tax exemption - gives birth to a child between the ages of 25 and 30, she will receive a tax exemption until the age of 30.

The founder of Ficsak emphasized: no matter what the situation is, war or austerity, it is still necessary to think about achieving a breakthrough in the current demographic struggle.

For 12 years, the government has been fighting for as many children as possible to be born in Hungary, and the fight has been successful so far, he said. He recalled that in 2010 the domestic fertility rate was 1.27 percent, and today it is 1.5 percent, so the slow improvement can be seen.

Expanding the family policy system would help women become mothers in their 20s, he pointed out. He added: one of the biggest problems is that the date of childbirth has been postponed, most women have their first child after the age of 30. However, because of this, not as many children are born as young women would like, because they run out of time.

Nóra Király indicated that, depending on income, the introduction of the new family policy measure could mean a monthly saving of HUF 50-100 thousand for a young mother returning to the labor market.
