The producers and distributors of fake news will be personally responsible for the possible deaths and economic damage that may be caused by the threatening fourth wave of the coronavirus epidemic, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on Tuesday at a meeting of the foreign ministers of five Central European countries (C5) in Melník, Central Bohemia. after.

Péter Szijjártó emphasized that the key to defeating the threatening fourth wave of the coronavirus epidemic is the highest possible vaccination rate. In Hungary, the third wave of the pandemic was defeated, even on a European scale, with a high vaccination rate, but bad and worrying news is coming from the West, so caution is needed, because the epidemic is not over yet.

"All those who produce fake news that weakens the pro-vaccination position accepted by the scientific community, all those who carry out anti-vaccination propaganda, will be personally responsible for the possible deaths and economic damage that the possible restrictive measures may bring in the fourth epidemic wave. I ask everyone who is still thinking about weakening the desire to get vaccinated by producing some kind of fake news or propaganda to be very careful, the minister noted.

The Czech, Austrian, Hungarian, Slovenian and Slovak foreign ministers participating in the meeting in Melník agreed to create a coordination group to fight the epidemic and coordinate anti-epidemic measures.

Ivan Korcok praised the Hungarian fight against the coronavirus epidemic, described the Hungarian vaccination campaign as exemplary, criticized and called the spread of fake news dangerous. The only way to defeat the coronavirus epidemic is to ensure that the population is vaccinated as much as possible - the Hungarian, Czech, Austrian, Slovenian and Slovak foreign ministers stated at the meeting.

"There is complete agreement between us that we can only fight the epidemic with vaccinations," stated the host, Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhánek

He announced: as the fourth wave of the epidemic threatens, the participants of the meeting in Melník agreed to create a coordination group for more effective measures and a faster, better exchange of information. "It is important that we are informed of all planned measures in time and do not cause surprises to each other," explained the head of the Czech diplomacy.

Anze Logar and Alexander Schallenberg supported the accession of the Western Balkan countries to the European Union.
