István Beke and Zoltán Szőcs were welcomed in the main square of Kézdivásárhely. The two young men thanked all those who were by their side, who helped them, who believed in them and in the truth. Zoltán Szőcs said that they believed in their truth the whole time, went behind the bars with their heads held high, and left the Keketehalm prison with their heads held high.

According to the accusation, in 2015 they wanted to detonate a bomb on the Romanian national holiday in Kézdivásárhely. During the court proceedings, several people said that it was a concept trial. But even though the Transylvanian Hungarian community protested, the two men had to serve four years in less than a few days, M1 News reported.
„There are not only representatives of the press here in this part, but also people from Kézdivásárhely who believed in our innocence and stood by us. There is the representation from the motherland, who constantly visited, the Transylvanian representation, and all of this gave me strength, as well as my family, that we are not alone ”
said Zoltán Szőcs.
István Beke and Zoltán Szőcs were brought to court by the Romanian Organized Crime and Terrorism Prosecutor's Office, because the authorities suspected from their intercepted conversations and the firecrackers found in István Beke's apartment that they wanted to detonate a homemade bomb in the main square of Kézdivásárhely in 2015, on the Romanian national holiday on December 1 organized military parade. Although they denied the charges, they were sentenced to five years in prison each.
„The charge we defended against was an attempt against the state. We proved that it was a blatant lie, and then at the last hearing, the prosecutor's office remembers to ask the court that if they cannot convict him based on this charge, then change the charge," said István Beke.
He added : "We received the punishment for attempted assassination against the community and disclosure, without being able to defend ourselves against the new charge for half a minute, which is of course illegal, and based on this, we took the case further to Strasbourg. "
The Hungarian public in Transylvania considered the criminal trial against the men from Kézdivásárhely to be a conceptual proceeding from the first moment.
" They are not repeat offenders, they behaved well, they worked, they did everything the law required, and yet they showed, the Romanian power showed what power it had then. I think that they should have been released a long time ago, I am very happy that they were here today, and I was honestly very surprised at how energetic they are, how determined they are, fantastic," said József-György Kulcsár-Terza , Member of Parliament of the Hungarian Civil Party.
The Székely men convicted of terrorism spent 1,112 days in prison.
István Beke and Zoltán Szőcs also said: they will continue where they left off, they want to work as good Hungarians for their family and nation.
