Four patients have died and another 74 Hungarian citizens have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, koronavirus.gov.hu ​​announced on Wednesday, highlighting that 5,605,713 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, 5,405,781 of whom have already received the second dose of the vaccine.

It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 809,362, the number of deaths is 30,025, and 746,981 people can be considered cured.
70 coronavirus patients are being treated at the hospital, 11 of them are on ventilators.
The number of active infected people decreased to 32,356. There are 1,475 people in official home quarantine, and the number of samples taken is 6,316,629.
It was announced: in terms of total vaccination coverage, Hungary is still among the first in the European Union (EU), making it one of the safest countries from an epidemiological point of view.
However, the delta virus mutant is spreading strongly in several European countries, so those who have not yet been vaccinated are asked to do so. It was highlighted: the operative group will be the first in Europe to allow the third vaccination for everyone from August 1.
The third vaccination is justified due to the appearance of new, aggressive virus mutants, the relevant procedure was developed by the health professional organizations. The third vaccination is recommended primarily for the elderly, those suffering from chronic diseases, and patients with weakened immune systems, they added. They wrote: in order to increase vaccination coverage, elderly people who have not yet been vaccinated will be visited personally with the help of general practitioners and medical students.
The vaccine can also be administered at the family doctor's office or at the elderly person's home. "The solution to the epidemic is not closures and restrictions, but vaccination," they emphasized. You can still register for vaccination on the www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu ​​website, and with a valid registration you can book vaccination appointments online on the www.eeszt.gov.hu ​​website.
Those with valid registration - including validly registered foreigners living in Hungary and Hungarian citizens living abroad - can automatically book an appointment for vaccination online.
Pfizer, Sinopharm and, in limited quantities, Szputnyik vaccine can be booked nationally in the online appointment booking system. Janssen and Moderna vaccines are also available at some vaccination points, they added. They also touched on the fact that Hungary opened up the possibility of vaccination for people living along the border, thereby increasing the country's protection against the epidemic.
People living in Transcarpathia can get the vaccine at the vaccination points set up at certain border crossings, and those coming from the other neighboring countries - Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Austria - at the vaccination points of hospitals designated for this purpose.
They drew attention to the fact that those who want to be vaccinated in Hungary should definitely bring their passport, personal documents and a public document confirming their address.
They reminded: a new phase of the lifting of several restrictions previously ordered due to the coronavirus epidemic came into effect after reaching 5.5 million vaccinated people.
It is still mandatory to wear a mask in hospitals, specialist surgeries, and family doctor's surgeries. They also touched on the fact that the government has launched a national consultation, in which it seeks the opinion of the Hungarian people on life after the epidemic, among other issues concerning the restart of the economy, the protection of jobs, and further support for families. The consultation questionnaire can already be filled out online on the https://nemzetikonzultacio.kormany.hu .
In the announcement, it was also written that the EU vaccination certificate is available for travel within the EU.
Citizens who plan to travel within the EU can digitally download the EU Covid certificate by entering the public portal of the EESZT. The certificate is not considered a travel document and is not sent out of office, they pointed out. According to the site's map, so far the most infected have been registered in Budapest (144,524) and Pest County (112,249). This is followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (46,765), Győr-Moson-Sopron (44,494) and Hajdú-Bihar county (42,637). The county least affected by the infection is still Tolna, with 17,792 infected.
