Fertőszéplak will once again host a musical, open-air mystery play called Öröm útja, which will dress the events of the period after Christ's resurrection in musical garb thanks to the work of songwriter József Pipó and lyricist and director András Kovács - read on vasarnap.hu.
After the preparation period for Lent, the journey of joy begins with the resurrection, when we not only announce the good news, but also carry it as long as possible, just as the apostles did following the teachings of Jesus - announce the organizers of the open-air, musical mystery game. The grandiose play, performed in front of colorful scenery with around sixty actors, is a notable example of Christian folk music, which is presented every year during the summer. Unfortunately, this failed last year due to the protection against the coronavirus epidemic. It is an even greater joy that this year, on August 5 and 6, starting at nine o'clock in the evening, we can be present at the performance of the piece that sings the good news of the Gospel.

"We have to realize that everything comes from joy, even suffering. For three years, the Good Lord drew me closer to him. As a result, it is a gift to me that I go to Mass every day and pray the rosary. Jesus gives me the grace to meet him in the Eucharist - he is the source of our life and all our joy," said the composer of the mystery play in an interview with Pengetö.
József Pipó told us about the composition of the Way of Joy: "In the second half of the nineties, Father Lajos Buxus Bajcsy told me for the first time about the prayer "The Way of Joy", which, like the Way of the Cross, recalls the events after the resurrection in fourteen stations. The biggest part of the church year swells with Easter joy. In other words, the emphasis is on joy, which even shines through suffering. This is where I draw the strength to praise God. Based on the text of a dear friend, a joyous journey set to music was born, which is performed by a good 70-person crew: actors, musicians, singers," said the Christian pop music songwriter about the creation of the work entitled Joyous Journey.
