The government made a decision regarding the cost of the PCR test for patients facing deferred surgery. Since all Hungarians have free access to the vaccination, those who do not take advantage of it, but are still hospitalized, must prove that they are not infected with a self-funded PCR test in order to protect other people and health workers, said Minister Miklós Kásler in his latest video interview with Életközelben .
The ombudsman judged this differently and made comments, from which the government accepted that the regulation should indeed be recorded in a government decision, added the minister, emphasizing that the government's opinion on the substantive issues remains unchanged.
Regarding the situation of health workers, the minister said: until January 2022, the salaries of nurses will increase by two and a half times , which is also significant because during his career there has never been a salary increase of this magnitude in the Hungarian health sector, including medical salaries.
The Minister of Medicine also highlighted the fact that since 2010, the government has implemented a program to improve the social situation of nurses, the like of which has never been seen before.
