A Belgian poet employed by the city of Bruges has come under fire after writing a letter condemning the demonization of pedophiles and saying people should "accept pedophiles".
Delphine Lecompte calls pedophiles "a marginalized, vulnerable group that has been treated as sick scum by the decent moralist community for years." Despite protesting the woman's words, the City Council said that while they disagreed with her, Lecompte was entitled to free speech , Breitbart reports.
Lecompte said in the letter that "most pedophiles never engage in pedophile acts" and "that all people are sometimes attracted to innocence and youth." The woman continued: "I think it is very dangerous to demonize and silence pedophiles. In this way, the pedophile is forced into a situation of almost illegal and perverted crime. I think it would be wiser to know and accept the pedophile. And to accept that pedophilia is in all of us”
The letter outraged many, including Stefaan Sintobin , a member of parliament from the Vlaams Belang party, who called on the city of Bruges to end its cooperation with Lecompte, and Matthias Diependaele , who declared: "We cannot condone or normalize pedophilia. in any way, let alone making excuses. "
The Belgian story also proves that the lovers of deviance and aberration have opened a new front, they are slowly trying to legalize this repulsive perversity. And the self-proclaimed "defender of pedophiles" might wonder if it wouldn't have been smarter to try to fabricate a poem instead of a letter. It may happen that even a sick mind is capable of enjoyable poetry.
True, the probability of this is quite small.
