A group of 20 people wanted to illegally cross into the territory of Hungary at Mórahalom on Sunday around nine o'clock.
From the Serbian side, a member of the group used a gas spray to blow the uniforms protecting the border, reports Police.hu . The police and soldiers on duty prevented the illegal border crossing attempt.
On Sunday, the operator of the thermal camera indicated the presence of another group of migrants in Csongrád-Csanád county, on the outskirts of Szeged-Gyálarét, in the Tisza floodplain. At the signal, patrols from the Szeged Border Police Branch, the Emergency Police and the Hungarian Defense Forces went to the scene, where
a total of 65 people claiming to be Syrian citizens were arrested.
The illegal migrants were unable to prove their legal stay in Hungary, according to the police's website .
The uniformed officers on duty at the Bács-Kiskun county border section arrested 15 immigrants in the administrative area of Vaskút.
The border violators claimed to be Syrian citizens, but, according to the website , they could not credibly prove their identity or the legality of their stay in Hungary.
