Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mihály Varga shared the latest key indicators of the Hungarian economy on his Facebook page. He explained that the total economic growth was 17.9%, which in practice meant that the Hungarian economy had reached its pre-coronavirus state. The deputy prime minister also explained that industrial production increased by almost a quarter, by 22%, construction production by 27.8%, and retail turnover by 6.2%.
He announced that the number of employed people is 4.7 million, which is a record in Hungary. It was also revealed from the post that the guest traffic of the accommodation facilities also increased, by 42%, and exports by 21.9%.
