Since András Pikó closed the Józsefváros Gallery at the beginning of the year, the exhibition "The Canvases of the Future" took place in - for lack of a better word - the Mayor's Office, where paintings created by migrants can be viewed. At the opening, which was mainly attended by office workers, the mayor emphasized the importance of inclusion...
Recently, hardly a week goes by without a program related to migrants supported by the left-wing leadership of Józsefváros. Previously, the local government sponsored a walk showing illegal migration in a positive light, then a joint cooking with immigrants, and most recently a cycling course organized for migrant ladies who were drowning in lack of interest.
And now, a venue has been provided for a painting exhibition organized by the She 4 She Association (…) and the Hungarian Helsinki Committee (…).
András Pikó also gave an opening speech, expressing his pride that the pictures will be exhibited there until October 15, which, according to him, is even more relevant due to the current situation in Afghanistan.
"I hope that with the exhibition we can bring the employees of the municipality, interested residents of Józsefváros and other visitors to the exhibition closer to the experiences of refugees and immigrants, and to the ideals of humanity and inclusion that we profess here, and which I believe also characterizes the whole of Józsefváros " , he said.
The exhibition, on the other hand, can only be seen after prior registration...I wonder why?
