Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Friday morning on Rádió Kossuth Good morning, Hungary! In his program, he said that we are reaching a new milestone, the number of vaccinated people will definitely exceed 4 million on Friday, so the new regulations will come into effect on Saturday morning.

The start of the curfew will be changed to midnight, shops and catering establishments may be open until 11, and certain services will be available again for those with a protection card.

Vaccination of 16- to 18-year-olds starts after graduation, for which Pfizer vaccine will be used, so it is still possible to vaccinate with Pfizer today, but next time it may take place in a few weeks. This is because necessary vaccines are being put aside for young people.

Regarding the opening of the terraces and the further measures, the Prime Minister emphasized: as long as someone is not vaccinated, they can still infect others.

Since we are not yet over the epidemic, not everyone is vaccinated yet, so they may be able to infect others. That is why the rules must be followed

he added.

According to Viktor Orbán, situations that are difficult to handle are those where the protected get mixed up with the unprotected. In the case of restaurants, for example, when someone is inside who is not sitting at the table, they must wear a mask, and fishermen will be allowed outside after midnight.

The prime minister also said that now the majority are the protected, the vaccinated, so it is reasonable to adapt to them, so that they get discounts, and everyone who wants and registers can get the vaccine. There is enough vaccine for everyone in Hungary, in fact, there are already more vaccines than there are people who want to take the vaccine.

The Prime Minister called it a great success that we are the only country that has reached this state, because this is not the case in Western Europe, and he also highlighted the misconception that those vaccinated with Eastern vaccines will not be able to travel. As he put it: this is not true, as Germany is already buying Russian vaccines.

There will be no distinction between Eastern and Western vaccines

- emphasized the Prime Minister, and added that if there is an EU ID card, we will use it, but until then we will conclude agreements with the countries on the basis of reciprocity.

Viktor Orbán also touched on the issue of universities, saying that the Hungarian higher education system was quite inflexible, and due to past experiences with communism, Hungarians are afraid of the transformation, since in the eyes of many, only state or private ownership exists, not any other form. However, thanks to the previous nationalizations, there was no opportunity for such organic development in our country as in the West. During the transformation, public foundations will be created, and the assets given to them can be used exclusively for education and the development of the university, and the universities will have much greater autonomy. Viktor Orbán emphasized that the reason behind the attack of the left is that their approach is internationalist, while the universities are based on a national basis, and he also added that the best universities in the world do not operate in the form of a state but a foundation, which is why the government considered this form as an example.

Regarding the anti-vaccination campaign of the left, he said that thanks to it, more left-wing voters are anti-vaccination, and he suggested that no one should listen to the anti-vaccination campaign of the left-wing parties, because it does not harm the government, but itself.

At the end of the conversation, the Prime Minister also addressed the abolition of telegrams, as he said: the telegram was part of their lives, which is why he sent one last telegram on the occasion of Mother's Day.

Women and mothers did a great job even during the crisis, and they deserve all the respect they have shown for the stand they have shown over the past year.

- concluded the Prime Minister.
