Three Reformed kindergartens and nurseries, built with Hungarian state support, were inaugurated on Monday in the Maros county of Transylvania.

In Koronka, which is adjacent to Marosvásárhell, the building of the old Reformed church school was converted into a nursery school. In the renovated 400-square-meter church property, three nursery school groups will start. The conversion of the building cost HUF 171 million, the press representative of the church district told MTI.

In Erdőszentgyörgy, a two-story building was built on a plot donated by the municipality, which accommodates two kindergarten and two kindergarten groups. The 550-square-meter property, designed for forty kindergarten and thirty kindergarten children, cost HUF 196 million.

On summer Wednesday, an old church-owned building was demolished in order to build a daycare center for two groups. The 348 square meter new building cost HUF 140 million. Licenses for the start-up of nurseries in Koronka and Nýárádszereda are in progress, the nursery school and kindergarten in Erdőszentgyörgy already started operating in the previous school year.

At the opening ceremony in Erdőszentgyörgy, Transylvanian Reformed bishop Béla Kató said: he likes to participate in thanksgiving events organized for the handover of buildings that are already occupied, because they show that the church has built a community, not just walls.

The bishop considered it a phenomenon that busy parents entrust their children to the "cartoon pastor", and it happens that after 10-15 years they find that they have lost them. However, he added that it is up to the parent to determine what and how they want to raise their children. He added: the Reformed Church wants to help parents with the modern building.

He mentioned: the Transylvanian Reformed church district requested and received help from the Hungarian state for the construction of the nursery school and kindergarten. He also touched on the fact that the Romanian government, which took office in December, itself launched a nursery school development program. "But we see how many things can get in the way," he said, referring to the government crisis in Bucharest.

Attila Zoltán Csibi, the mayor of Erdőszentgyörgy, believed that the key to a satisfied and happy life is to combine joy and learning, and the new nursery school and kindergarten offer this opportunity.

Réka Brendus, the head of the National Policy State Secretariat of the Prime Minister's Office, said: Erdőszentgyörgy already has the conditions necessary for the development of children under the best conditions.
