Yesterday, the traveling exhibition Drowned in Blood Freedom, launched by the Civil Solidarity Forum on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the leak of the Őszöd speech, visited Eger.
At the exhibition, which can be visited free of charge , those interested can view an exhibition compiled on the basis of contemporary documents and recordings, which commemorates this dark and bloody period of the recent past on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the beginning of the 2006 protests.
At the exhibition in Eger, visitors could meet Zoltán Ifj Lomnici, István Hollik and Zsolt Nyitrai, who also shared their personal experiences with them. According to Lomnici:
"the Hungarian nation reacted to the leaked speech with elementary indignation as one people. All this was more than a mere moral crisis, the government at that time was in a constitutional crisis... the Őszöd speech still has an afterlife in terms of public policy and public law."
Isván Hollik:
"2006. on October 23, I was at the Astoria, and the mounted police galloped past me two meters away. I will never forget that day! That's why I went to Eger to see the traveling exhibition, which was shocking and brought back old memories. Anyone who does not have a personal experience of Gyurcsány's terror at that time should definitely see the moving exhibition Bloody Freedom."
Zsolt Niitrai:
He is going to Debrecen tomorrow. At Hatvan utca 1 (Piac utca - Hatvan utca mouth, between the glass pyramid next to the Great Church and the Korzó restaurant), where it will be open from 15:00 to 20:00.
