We have to fight for the restoration of the thirteenth monthly pension to happen faster and for pensioners to receive not only the second week, but also the third and possibly the fourth week's surplus next year - said Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Kossuth Radio on Friday. Good morning, Hungary! in his program, which was reported Magyar Hírlap

The prime minister underlined that it is necessary to fight because "neither wages nor pensions should be raised based on credit or income, there must be performance behind it".

"I am fighting for (...) so that I can stand up to the people in the next election in such a way that what the Gyurcsány-Bajnai government took from the pensioners, we gave it to the last penny," he said.

Among the tasks of the government, he mentioned that, by making amends for the mistakes of their predecessors, they should return at least one month's salary and at least one month's pension. Viktor Orbán stated that the minimum wage increase of almost 20 percent planned for next year is "unprecedented in modern Western European economies", the effects of which will be offset by tax cuts for small and medium-sized enterprises.

As a final result, the prime minister mentioned that the minimum wage will be higher on the first of next January than the average wage was in the Gyurcsány-Bajnai era.

Viktor Orbán mentioned: the restart of the economy succeeded beyond all expectations, there is a serious chance of growth above 5.5 percent, so it must be decided what to do with the surplus. The fairest thing is to return the paid sja to families raising children, including small entrepreneurs, he said.

Viktor Orbán emphasized that new closures due to the coronavirus epidemic would be unfair to the 6 million people who have been vaccinated, so if there are any restrictions, he recommends a return to the protection card.

He said, we have already learned that only vaccination helps. The problem is that there are Hungarians who believe this and some who don't, said the Prime Minister, adding: the former are safe thanks to vaccination, there is a problem with the latter, because they expose themselves to life-threatening, at least a serious illness.

Viktor Orbán - entrusted with taking the vaccine - spoke about the fact that there is resistance to making the vaccination mandatory, at most it will be accepted by the people in the case of healthcare workers or in such a way that employers can guide their employees towards the vaccination. In addition, Hungarians do not tolerate interference in their lives, and the government must take note of this, added the Prime Minister.

He indicated: there will be 17-18 million doses of vaccine in stock by the end of the year, anyone can get vaccinated. Viktor Orbán expressed the opinion that the vaccinating majority cannot be restricted because of the non-vaccinating minority, since the former did everything they could to live freely.

"Our friends came" to the Budapest Demographic Summit, and a discussion started about the fate of Europe, the most important point of which is whether there will be a future, i.e. children. The future of Europe is not in industry, not in greening, not in digitization, these are, of course, all important things, the future lies in the children - stated the prime minister. Therefore, it should not be accepted that the missing members of the next generation are replaced by labor imports and migrants, he emphasized.

Economic motivation is also needed in order for young people to commit themselves to family life early and with sufficient seriousness. The government must provide help for this - said the Prime Minister, adding that if it is possible to connect the deep human conviction with a material one, then "Hungary's future is secured".

Speaking about LGBTQ people, the Prime Minister said that he understands them, "they also need a place under the sun", but "the small number of exceptions cannot be the basis of general regulations". We do not accept that they want to raise our children; then we will educate them - said Viktor Orbán.
