Five patients died and another 633 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus infection, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Thursday, highlighting that 5,887,540 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, of which 5,645,518 have received the second, and 760,000 have received the third. they also received a dose of vaccine.
It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 822,705. The number of those who died rose to 30,190, and the number of those who recovered rose to 785,090.
The number of active infected people is 7,425. 539 coronavirus patients are being treated in the hospital, 87 of them are on ventilators.
There are 5,395 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples taken is 6,932,779.
On the government side, it was highlighted that the new diseases are caused by the delta virus mutant. Unvaccinated people are most at risk, so they are asked to register and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
They emphasized that less than one percent of those vaccinated become ill, and the course of the disease is usually much milder in those vaccinated. The majority of the Hungarian population has registered for vaccination and those who have not yet, can still register on the www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu . After registration, it is possible to book a vaccination appointment at the general practitioner's office or online www.eeszt.gov.hu .
