Now it wasn't the bell, but the carillon that blew the fuse for some people in Torony. Even though the residents of the tower have been listening to the church bells they received as a gift for nine years, it was only now that some of the residents lost their minds.
The incident was reported by the Vas county news portal, which shows that since 2012, the bell has been ringing in the church every hour between 8 and 8 p.m., after the bell toll the time. It is not always the same: out of the 132 types of melodies, it is usually always music that corresponds to the liturgical period and lasts 20-30 seconds.
The settlement is located barely 3 kilometers from Szombathely, it can be said to be a suburb of the county seat. The mayor of the village, Kerek Perec, said that Péter Balassa, the president of the Jobbik organization in Szombathely, who lives in the street next to the church, is bothered by the bell. The "Jobbik-kos" has already visited the county bishop on this matter, but the mayor does not want to hear about the termination of the bell ringing, and has even started collecting signatures.
That much in a nutshell from Tower, where they want to silence the bell in the tower. Why now? It can be imagined that the "Jobbik-kos" president from Szombathely likes the Jakabos style, so he wants to imitate it, not even caring about the fact that the people there look away with his bravado where he lives. Of course, it is also not inconceivable that the president has been in obscurity until now, but now he wanted to draw attention to himself.
Be that as it may, if I were president of Szombathely, I would move to the city in his place. And if not, the border is barely 5 kilometers away, you can also move in with your in-laws and have fun.
