Seven patients died and another 629 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus. So far, 5,900,019 people have been vaccinated in Hungary, of which 5,665,141 received the second and 833,000 received the third dose of the vaccine.

The number of infected people identified in Hungary increased to 825,799.
The number of those who died rose to 30,253, and the number of those who recovered rose to 787,230. The number of active infected people is 8,316. ​​574 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, 79 of them are on ventilators.
There are 6,097 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples taken is 7,000,417.

On the government side, it was highlighted that the new diseases are caused by the delta virus mutant.
Unvaccinated people are most at risk, so they are asked to register and get vaccinated as soon as possible. They emphasized that due to the delta variant of the coronavirus, the number of infected people is rising again in several countries and in Hungary.
"However, in the current wave of the epidemic, it is a big advantage that there is already a vaccine and most people have taken the vaccine, which represents the strongest protection against the virus," they wrote. They added that less than one percent of vaccinated people get sick, and the course of the disease is usually much milder in vaccinated people. The majority of the Hungarian population has registered for vaccination and has already received it. Those who have not yet can still register on the www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu . After registration, it is possible to book a vaccination appointment at the general practitioner's office or online www.eeszt.gov.hu .
The government has started making decisions resulting from the national consultation - read on the koronavirus.gov.hu ​​page - the government decree on family tax refunds has been published, according to which, in February 2022, parents with children will receive back their personal income tax paid this year up to the tax level of the average salary.
"This is made possible by the fact that the growth of the Hungarian economy is one of the most dynamic in the EU," they noted. According to the site's map, Budapest (149,004) and Pest County (114,873) have registered the most infected people so far.
This is followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (47,910), Győr-Moson-Sopron (45,184) and Hajdú-Bihar county (43,396). The county least affected by the infection is still Tolna, with 17,943 infected.
