Privatization and outsourcing of the energy, banking sector, domestic infrastructure and supply systems can start again. This was typical in the period before 2010, László Parragh told Magyar Nemzet.

The president of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry indicated: it is also a question of how the events of 1956 would be taught in schools under the leadership of the Democratic Coalition, and how they would be taught if, for example, the word of Jobbik was decisive. We quote from the article.

As they put it on the left: after a change of government, the 2022 budget is "thrown into the trash with an elegant gesture." The budget was adopted by the Parliament in the summer, precisely so that everyone, including the actors of the economy, could prepare in time for the next year. What would happen if predictability was compromised? This is what we asked László Parragh.

- In recent years, it has always been revealed at the right time what the business environment of the following year will be like. This greatly helped in the planning of enterprises. It became a part of their lives to learn about legislative changes, including the evolution of the taxation system. There were also times when the parliament adopted the new budget at the end of December, and then it was very difficult for companies to react to the changes of the following year, recalled the president of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK).

– Of course, it is true that the future is more unpredictable due to the virus, but there are huge reserves in the 2022 budget. The government can intervene quickly if necessary, and this is favorable from the point of view of businesses, he emphasized. László Parragh also indicated: it is almost impossible to throw away a budget in its entirety during the year. If that were the case, offices and institutions, from museums to health care, would stop.

MKIK also regularly consults with the government about the crisis and economic measures. The organization's proposals echo in many state decisions. Growth promotion programs are examples of this. The employer tax reduction will continue next year as well, it is also included in the 2022 budget. Therefore, we also asked the president how he evaluates the cooperation between the chamber and the government.

"Some people criticize us for cooperating with the government." However, the majority of businesses perceive the importance of this, especially in times of crisis. In such cases, you have to make different decisions and react quickly. When the epidemic broke out due to the virus, negotiations between the government and the Chamber began immediately.

In such cases, there is no time to act according to the timetable of "peace times", because it is necessary to immediately introduce life-saving measures.

In such cases, it is easier to make mistakes, but if decisions are not made in time, the consequences are much more damaging, explained the president.

If the budget could not be destroyed after a change of government next year, it is certain that the left would pursue a completely different economic policy than the one that has been operating since 2010. If we only look at family policy, I would rather strengthen the direction of a welfare-based society rather than a work-based one. They've done this before.
