Mother's Day is actually about us, men, fathers, it is a perfect mirror to see our true selves. And no, not in how many flowers are put on the table on Sunday, or that we stand proudly in front of mom with the breakfast we put together with the children. No, it's deeper than that and more honorable.
A woman is made a mother by a man, and a man is made a father by a woman. There is no one without the other, and the dignity, responsibility, and sacrifice of both meet in the child.
A mother is really a mother because of how much we men allow the women who become mothers to be fulfilled, free and happy.
Every day of the year, for life.
Men, fathers, let mothers be mothers.
