Ever since he was created, man has been trying to compose his feelings and thoughts into colors, pour them into ore, engrave them in stone, describe them, and tell them. And what cannot be described and told is music - emphasized Miklós Kásler, Minister of the Ministry of Human Resources, at the opening of the Liszt Únnep International Cultural Festival on Friday in Budapest.
The minister added: music is an extremely prominent part of Hungarian culture, perhaps this makes it extremely unique, a valuable part of the universal music culture. Even our greatest composers were nourished by this music, in the case of Ferenc Liszt, the cathartic outpouring of faith and psyche rose to an ethereal level.
Csaba Káel, the general manager of Müpa, who launched the series of events, pointed out that this festival is meant to connect our past, our heritage with our future. We live in an age in which we can rebuild and reinterpret our demolished values, and Liszt is a personality of Hungarian culture that helps us in this reconstruction. It is a point of Hungarian culture that you can adapt to, it provides inspiration and you can rely on.
The general director added: the aim of the all-arts festival is to bring Liszt here among us, so that we can pass on his legacy to the next generations. Liszt left us an "artistic DNA" in his music that is with us to this day thanks to the students of the Academy of Music.
He also touched on the fact that Hungary is the consecutive president of the Visegrád Four, which also represents an important mission on a cultural level, as it also speaks of the fact that we here in Central Europe form a special community, that our history, culture, future and present are connected, and Liszt provided guidance in this as well. gives
