On the government side, it was highlighted that the new diseases are caused by the delta virus mutant. Unvaccinated people are at greatest risk, so they are asked to register and get vaccinated as soon as possible.

They emphasized that due to the delta variant of the coronavirus, the number of infected people is rising again in several countries, including Hungary. However, in the current wave of the epidemic, it is a big advantage - they wrote - that there is already a vaccine, and most people have been vaccinated, which "means the strongest protection against the virus".

They added that less than one percent of vaccinated people get sick, and the course of the disease is usually much milder in vaccinated people. The majority of the Hungarian population has registered for vaccination and has already received it. Those who have not yet registered can still register on the www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu . After registration, it is possible to book a vaccination appointment at the general practitioner's office or online www.eeszt.gov.hu .
