Ten, mostly elderly, chronic patients died, and another 1,249 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus infection. So far, 5,919,930 people have been vaccinated in Hungary, of which 5,694,336 received the second, and 973,000 received the third dose of the vaccine.
The number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 833,115.
The number of those who died rose to 30,351, and those who recovered rose to 790,646. The number of active infected people is 12,118. Hospitals treat 800 coronavirus patients, of whom 124 are on ventilators. There are 10,990 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples taken is 7,127,710. The new cases are caused by the delta virus mutant.
Unvaccinated people are at greatest risk, so they are asked to register and get vaccinated as soon as possible. Less than one percent of those vaccinated get sick, and the course of the disease is usually much milder than those vaccinated. The majority of the Hungarian population has registered for vaccination and has already received it. Those who have not yet registered can still register on the www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu . After registration, it is possible to book a vaccination appointment at the general practitioner's office or online www.eeszt.gov.hu .
the koronavirus.gov.hu website, the most infected people have been registered in Budapest (150,358) and Pest County (115,915).
This is followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (48,624), Győr-Moson-Sopron (45,464) and Hajdú-Bihar counties (43,830). The county least affected by the infection is still Tolna, with 17,996 infected.
