It has been known for a long time that Ferenc Gyurcsány has been striving to become the unquestionable leader of the left since the Democratic Coalition flag was torn down. The signs indicate that thanks to the left-wing "domestic competition" taking place half a year before the 2022 parliamentary elections, the head of the ex-government has come closer than ever to taking over the leadership of the left-liberal bloc, Gergely Erdős, internal policy analyst of the Századvég Közéleti Tudásközpont Foundation, states in his article.

In the first act of the Gyurcsány show, two important questions were clarified, which may be of strategic importance in terms of the goals of the former prime minister in the following years. On the one hand, the Democratic Coalition already achieved during the nomination stage - by using their dominance and artificially shaping the circumstances - that in the majority of constituencies that are more favorable for the left in terms of voting in 2022 and that promise better chances of victory, their own candidates are the sure primary election runners-up, which in their calculation was also confirmed.

ALREADY HALF A YEAR BEFORE THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS, GYURCSÁNY ENSURED THAT IN THE NEXT CYCLE THE DEMOCRATIC COALITION WOULD BE THE LARGEST LEFT FACTION.

The Gyurcsány party will therefore be the main shaper of the direction and political agenda of the left-liberal side in the next four years.

On the other hand - in parallel with Klára Dobrev's home victory - all those politicians (Fekete-Győr, Jakab, Karácsony) who have an organizational background and mobilizing capacity that can be interpreted as party leaders stepped down, while Péter Márki-Zay remained on his feet as a "conqueror without an army".

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THE MAYOR OF HÓDMEZÖVÁSÁRÉL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FORM AN EQUITY COUNTERBALANCE AGAINST THE POLITICAL Aspirations of the Republic of Denmark, NEITHER NOW OR IN THE LATER.

It is also telling that in recent days, a number of socialist and dialogue politicians (among others István Hiller, Zoltán Gőgös, Csaba Horváth, Péter Gajda, Richárd Barabás, Gábor Erőss) and several emblematic figures of the left-liberal moon court (for example Gábor Iványi, Kinga Göncz, Gábor Demszky) assured Klára Dobrev of his support.

IN THE LIGHT OF THIS, IT CAN BE CONSIDERED THAT THE SECOND ACTION OF THE PRE-SELECTION PROCEDURE WAS ESSENTIALLY WITHOUT Stake: GYURCSÁNY ESSENTIALLY TOOK OVER THE LEADERSHIP OF THE LEFT SIDE.

This last statement is also supported by the October poll of Századvég, according to which 51 percent of those polled who declared themselves to be left-wing would already vote for the Democratic Coalition. It is also important to note that Ferenc Gyurcsány presumably wants to raise the model used in Budapest to the national level. With the signing of the socialists László Kiss and Sándor Szaniszló, the Democratic Coalition became an unavoidable force in the Capital Assembly. Although Olga Kálmán's "unexpected" candidacy for mayor against Gergelly Karácsony was fruitless, in the end - as the largest left-liberal faction - DK's voice was decisive in the city management, regardless of the mayor's identity.

It should not be forgotten, however, that Gyurcsány is still one of the most rejected politicians in the country, who "enjoys" marked unpopularity among uncertain and right-wing voters. In order to restore the socialist politics before 2010, it will not be enough to merely defeat the left-liberal "allied" parties.

(In addition, the king is naked! The leader of the opposition is actually the fallen prime minister, against whom FIDESZ won by two-thirds in 2010. The time is slowly coming again! -ed.)
