Not only the multiplexes, but also all the ART cinemas in the country can screen the political crime film Elk*rtuk, which deals with the leaking of the 2006 Özöd speech and the revolutionary mood that developed afterwards.

Based on the decision of the National Media and Communications Authority, the film Elk*rtuk meets the criteria of domestic art films, as it received the ART-cinema classification. In other words, contrary to the previous objections, all cinemas in the country - multiplexes and art cinemas - can play the most anticipated independent Hungarian political crime film of the year from October 21. Previously, there were articles on many forums about the fact that only the Corvin cinema of the ART cinemas in Budapest plans to play the film - while negotiations are ongoing with Budapest Film about 3 more cinemas - and there were also articles about the multiplexes not or very low the Megafilm production is given a screening number. The reason: according to them, an audience film does not carry adequate artistic values.

However, the NMHH believes that Elk*rtuk meets the ART-cinema criteria, according to which it gives an art rating to all films that are released and whose artistic value contributes to the development of Hungarian, European and universal audiovisual culture, or that the committee has educational, cultural considers it significant and of high artistic quality.

According to one of the film's producers, Gábor Kálomista, "the obstacle to art cinemas being able to screen the film Elk*rtuk has been removed."

Dorottya Helmeczy, the film's other producer, added: " We hereby send a message to those cinemas that refrained from showing Elk*rtuk due to the lack of ART certification, because they were worried about whether a Hungarian public film carries enough artistic value to can be projected, so it carries. We are waiting for the cinemas to apply so that we can serve the screening needs of the viewing public."

And there is a lot of demand from the viewers, because the tickets for the film were already sold out on the day after the premiere on September 28, and even for the following days it was hardly possible to get tickets three weeks ago, and ticket sales have continued since then.
