In the past three days, a total of 3,274 new infections have been confirmed, bringing the total number of identified infections to 836,389 since the beginning of the epidemic. Most of the 51 people who died were elderly and chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 30,402.
The number of people who have recovered is constantly increasing, currently 791,998 people, and the number of active infected people has risen to 13,989 people. 908 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 126 of them are on ventilators. The new diseases are caused by the delta virus mutant, and the unvaccinated are at greatest risk, so they are asked to register and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
The number of vaccinated people is 5,924,063, of which 5,700,021 have already received their second vaccination, and 997,000 have already received their third vaccination. Less than 1% of those vaccinated become ill, and the course of the disease is usually much milder than those vaccinated. The majority of the Hungarian population has registered for vaccination and has already taken it, those who have not yet can still do so on the www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu .
After registration, it is possible to book an appointment for vaccination at the general practitioner's office and on the Internet at www.eeszt.gov.hu . Anyone with a valid registration can book an appointment for the first, missed second and third vaccinations in the appointment booking system.
