There are no long-term strategies, for now everyone lives day by day, said Katalin Novák, adding that the people coming from Ukraine greatly appreciate the Hungarians' help.

The elected president of the republic said:

towns and villages small and large, leaders, aid organizations, hospital, university, school workers, kindergarten teachers, and kitchen workers come together. Everyone is trying to find how they can contribute to making those who are forced to flee feel safer

he highlighted.

What Katalin Novák experienced on Wednesday also confirmed how important peace is. The war must be stopped and Hungary must be prevented from drifting into it, he declared. He emphasized:

Hungary's goal is to promote peace and help refugees.

Károly Czibere, president of Református Charity Service, told the public media that their organization has been present in the region since the first day of the war. The communities of the church were activated on both sides of the border, and they participate in the assistance in large numbers.
