According to today's government information, the number of people infected with the coronavirus has increased significantly.
The number of vaccinated people is 5,962,878, of which 5,744,219 have already received their second vaccination, and 1 million 274 thousand have already received their third vaccination. 6,268 new infected people were confirmed, bringing the total number of identified infected people to 885,360 since the beginning of the epidemic. Most of the 107 people who died were elderly and chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 31,101. The number of people who have recovered is constantly increasing, currently 803,151 people, and the number of active infected people has risen to 51,108 people. 3,366 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 349 of them are on ventilators. In order to curb the fourth wave of the epidemic and increase vaccination coverage, the government decided on new protective measures. Wearing a mask on public transport is again mandatory, in order to increase vaccination coverage, employers can require their employees to receive the vaccination, and those who have been vaccinated before are asked to receive the third vaccination.
Vaccination is expected in the public sector, in municipalities the mayors can decide on the issue. Details here.
The government encourages those who have been vaccinated to take the third vaccination. Those registered will also receive an email about this, in which we draw the attention of the vaccinated that the immunity that develops after vaccination may weaken after a few months. We recommend that anyone over 18 years of age and who received their previous vaccination more than 4 months ago also apply for the repeat third vaccination. It can be administered from the general practitioner, and you can also book an appointment online at a hospital vaccination point.
The new diseases are caused by the delta virus mutant, and the unvaccinated are at greatest risk, so we ask them to register and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Less than 1% of those vaccinated become ill, and the course of the disease is usually much milder than those vaccinated. The majority of the Hungarian population has registered for vaccination and has already taken it, those who have not yet can still do so on the website www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu.
After registration, it is possible to book an appointment for vaccination at the general practitioner's office and on the Internet at www.eeszt.gov.hu. Anyone with a valid registration can book an appointment for the first, missed second and third vaccinations in the appointment booking system.
A ban on visits has been ordered in hospitals, and due to the increase in the number of patients, new hospitals are being involved in the care of coronavirus patients.
