Minsk will respond to any new punitive measures of the European Union against it, it may even stop the transit of Belarusian natural gas from Russia to the EU, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Thursday, quoted by the Belarusian state news agency BelTA.
"We are heating up Europe, but it is threatening us to close its border with us. And what if we stop the gas delivery? Therefore, I recommend the leaders of Poland and Lithuania, as well as other reckless people, to think before they speak"

The EU introduces restrictions against Belarus
Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, announced on Wednesday after meeting with US President Joe Biden in Washington that
the EU will introduce new sanctions against Belarus next week.
He added that the restrictions will apply to both individuals and organizations. According to news agency information, the EU is targeting around 30 individuals and organizations, including Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makej and the Belarusian airline Belavia.
