It is already certain that the government will provide the full 13th monthly pension next February, the minister without portfolio responsible for families announced on Facebook on Wednesday.
Katalin Novák said in the video shared on her social media page that in February, 2.5 million pensioners and those receiving pension-like benefits can receive their 13th monthly pension.
He added: pensioners with reduced age, such as those in Nők40, but also those receiving widow's pension or disability and orphan benefits are entitled to this.
"So compared to the original plans, we will pay the full 13th month pension earlier, and the full amount next year. What the left took away, we will now return," the minister emphasized.
Katalin Novák continued that the government wants to express its appreciation for the elderly with this gesture.
