Gyula Budai came into the possession of confidential correspondence between the administrator of Budapest Capital City Property Management Co., Ltd. and Zsolt Berki, who, according to audio recordings previously made public by Anonymus, helps sell the properties of the Capital City Municipality from the outside in a kind of commission system. Although the sale of the town hall may have only been under preparation, two other properties on Nagytétényi and Bécsi út changed hands, according to the audio recordings, with large sums of money slipping into their pockets.
In the correspondence sent to the Fidesz parliamentary representative, the employee of the capital asset manager and Berki agreed on the sale of four more properties. Gyula Budai filed another criminal complaint.
As we previously reported , the ruling party politician recently turned to the investigative authority in another real estate case related to the Capital City Municipality, and an investigation was ordered following his complaint.
The representative recalled last week: he filed a complaint against an unknown perpetrator due to well-founded suspicions of influence peddling, after a secretly recorded recording of two men discussing the acquisition of a plot of land in the capital appeared in the press. The XXII. district industrial area was purchased by Grébics Ingatlan Zrt. for HUF 101 million gross from the Metropolitan Municipality.
The representative stated: based on the audio recording and the information published in the press, the suspicion is well-founded that the unknown perpetrators influenced an official when they went to the building of the Budapest Capital Management Capital Zrt. and agreed with an administrator working there to help win a tender, as well as therefore, they also asked for an "advance payment" of two million forints for the help.
In addition to Gyula Budai, János Volner, an independent member of parliament and the president of the party bearing his name, also turned to the investigative authority in the City Hall Gate case and filed a complaint for official bribery. At the press conference on Wednesday, the politician talked about the mafia-like network operated by the left. Volner also spoke about the fact that Gergely Karácsony and the left-wing mayors are rapidly increasing the real estate assets of the capital, noting that there is hardly anything left of the 199 billion reserve handed over by the previous administration. He also objected to the fact that the mayor did not launch an investigation against corruption, but against those who exposed it.
However, now, based on the evidence brought to Gyula Budai, new facts may have come to light:
"I have come into possession of confidential correspondence between the administrator of Budapest Capital City Property Management Ltd. and Zsolt Berki regarding the sale of a total of four properties in the capital. Correspondence with a cheerful, cordial tone speaks for itself, that the letters reveal a close relationship, a well-established business relationship. It is quite clear that Zsolt Berki sold additional properties on a commission basis. I also handed over my evidence to the police regarding four more properties," Gyula Budai told PestiSrácok.hu
The four properties in question are Fáy utca 69, Öv utca 10/A, the plot of the Újpest swimming pool and a property on Etele út. The Újpest swimming pool, which is located on Árpád út (and was demolished years ago - ed.), was previously advertised for HUF 700 million plus VAT. It is no longer listed among the advertised properties on the website of the Budapest Capital Management Center Ltd., which means that it has already been sold - according to correspondence, again with the cooperation of Zsolt Berki. According to the capital's website, the area located at 69 Fáy Street was sold to Starhouse Immo Kft. for HUF 109,220,000 gross.
Budapest IX. The administrator also sent the title deeds of the properties listed under two separate topographic numbers at Etele út 55, Kerület to Zsolt Berki. The property 3475/3 was announced through a tender, connected to the property located at 3475/57, Tétényi út 63, at a total purchase price of HUF 2 billion plus VAT
Gyula Budai wrote in his report to the NNI. He added that the administrator and Berki also corresponded about the property at Öv utca 10. In this case, the starting price was HUF 218,300,000 plus VAT. The total value of the new four properties exceeds HUF 3 billion, from which, according to the commission system outlined in previous articles, it could flow back into the partners' pockets very nicely.
Gyula Budai also addressed Mayor Gergely Karácsony on his Facebook page. He reminded that in the Capital Assembly, with their amendment proposal, the commission of inquiry to be established to investigate the sale of the City Hall was kicked out, but never mind, the police will investigate what exactly happened.
"Don't worry Gergely, the police will listen to Gordon Bajnai and you too! In the meantime, today I filed a criminal complaint with the National Investigation Agency due to the sale of new properties in the capital! Don't worry Gergő, the report also includes the rehabilitation/ sale of the property in Etele u. 55/Tétényi út, Budapest, 11th district! You know, Gergő, these are properties in the capital that are mentioned in the e-mails sent to the unknown Zsolt Berki! And do you know, Gergő, where these e-mails were sent to Zsolt Berki!!? Well, from the Budapest Wealth Management Center, you know, of which Balázs Barts is the CEO! It's Gergő, Balázs Barts, who is sending Zsolt Berki the documentation of the capital properties to be sold under your assignment. How much commission did you get back?? I think, Gergő, you are in huge trouble!!"
- said Gyula Budai.
