Dear Mayor,
Recently, there have been many disturbing reports that business circles close to the left-liberal coalition leading the nation's capital have taken steps to sell Budapest's most valuable property, the City Hall. Based on press reports, several persons connected to the Metropolitan Municipality, such as Balázs Barts, the president and CEO of the Budapest Capital Management Center Zrt., may also be involved in the scandal that broke out.
CXII of 2011 on the right to informational self-determination and freedom of information on behalf of the Civil Szeffogas Public Benefit Foundation. Act (hereinafter: Infotv.), I am contacting you with a public interest data request regarding public interest data managed by the Office of the Mayor of Budapest City Municipality, as a body performing a public task.
Please provide me with the information contained in the following questions:
- between January 1, 2021 and October 31, 2021, which persons connected to the Mayor's Office of the Budapest City Municipality negotiated the supposed sale of Városháza (1052 Budapest, Városház utca 9-11)? Was there a person among them who could be considered your direct colleague? (For example, chief of staff, deputy mayor, etc.?)
- In the period before January 1, 2021, was there a plan to sell the City Hall, were any written materials prepared?
- In the period between October 13, 2019 and October 31, 2021, which properties under additional monument protection classification were planned to be sold, by whom and on the basis of what authority did they negotiate in the given cases?
The above data request is based on Act CXII of 2011 on the right to self-determination of information and freedom of information. is based on § 26 (1), § 28 (1) and § 29 (1) of the Act.
Accordingly, please respond to my request for data of public interest within 15 days. Please send the required data electronically to me at the e-mail address info@civilosszefogas.hu.
