On Tuesday, the European Commission submitted a proposal to renew the Schengen border control rules, I read in the MTI news. One of the several points of the proposal is worth highlighting:

In the border control reform draft, the European Commission wants to enable the transfer of illegal immigrants apprehended near the common border from one member state to another. The panel's proposal would open the possibility for a member state to send them back to the neighboring member state they came from, rather than sending them back to their country of origin, as is the case under current rules.

So the bottom line: a member state should be able to send them back to the neighboring member state they came from. In other words, come, we welcome you with open arms, of course not in the way you imagine.

Let's play with the idea if, for example, the 345 border violators arrested in our country yesterday end up in Austria. They are caught there, and after a few days of cadres it turns out that they can be used by five people in one of the countries of the Union. The remaining 340 are thrown back to us.
