The number of vaccinated people is 6,200,040, of which 5,914,603 have already received their second vaccination, and 3,043,950 have already received their third vaccination. 5,298 new infected people were confirmed, bringing the total number of identified infected people to 1,213,318 since the beginning of the epidemic.

Most of the 144 people who died were elderly and chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 37,376. The number of recovered people is constantly increasing, currently 1,016,089 people, and the number of active infected people has decreased to 159,853 people. 6,109 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, of which 542 are on ventilators. Another Vaccination promotion starts today, you can get vaccinated again without making an appointment on Thursday and Friday afternoons, as well as on Saturday at the hospital's vaccination points. From Wednesday, vaccinations for children aged 5-11 years also started, and the registration and appointment website is continuously open for parents.

Due to the success of the vaccination campaign weeks and the appearance of the omicron virus in Hungary, another vaccination campaign will be launched between Thursday, December 16 and Saturday, December 18 at hospital vaccination points. This time as well, you can take either the first, the missed second, or the third confirmatory vaccination without prior appointment and with on-site registration. As part of the vaccination campaign, vaccinations will continue to take place in 101 hospitals. You can go to the vaccination points at the following times without making an appointment:

  • on Thursday, December 16, between 2 and 6 p.m.,
  • on Friday, December 17, between 2-6 p.m.,
  • on Saturday, December 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In the vaccination promotion, only people over the age of 12 are vaccinated at hospital vaccination points, vaccination of children aged 5-11 is still only possible by making an appointment or at home pediatricians.
