As of Friday morning, 560,000 tax refund declarations had already been received by the tax office, two more weeks and the deadline for submitting the declaration necessary for the February tax refund will expire, András Tállai informed MTI.
According to the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, it is worth choosing to complete the declaration online, which is also confirmed by the fact that more than 75 percent of RETURN declarations arrive at the tax office this way.
"The VISSZADO statement, which is also referred to as the simplest form of the decade, must be filled out by those whose allocation data the NAV has no information about," underlined András Tállai.
As he said: by the end of the year, the tax office expects a declaration from those who are entitled to family allowance but do not receive the family allowance, as well as from the pregnant woman and her spouse living in the same household as her, as well as from those who request the allocation of the tax refund elsewhere than where you receive the family allowance. The Katás small tax payer must also declare if he is not the recipient of the family allowance, and among the relatives of the recipient of the disability allowance or living in the same household as the person who used the family allowance during the year.
It is important for the parent belonging to this group to submit the declaration by December 31, because this is the only way the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) can issue the amount of the family tax refund by February 15, 2022 - emphasized András Tállai.
The state secretary stated that the right to a tax refund belongs to the parents raising children, so it will not be taken away even if someone misses the deadline at the end of the year. In such cases, the parent can use the tax refund in the tax return prepared by the NAV or in the personal tax return.
He added that in this case, the parents can only receive the amount they are entitled to after February 15, as NAV transfers the money within 30 days of submitting the return, but on March 1 at the earliest.
András Tállai noted that the tax office is still waiting for about 190,000 declarations to fulfill the February allocation. It is worth taking advantage of the most popular online filling method, as it includes the data available to the tax office, so only the missing data needs to be filled in. But the declaration can be submitted on paper through the post office, or it can also be submitted in person at NAV's customer services, he added.
