The word peace has a calming effect on people. It is no accident, because we all know that unrest breeds bad blood.
When the country, or even the nation, prepares for elections, it is in the interest of many to divide society and incite contradictions. Let us know that it may be good to fish in the murky waters, but you have to untie the wheel in time.
The majority of people respect peace, and if they have it, they claim to preserve it. If we look around Europe for comparison, we can see that peaceful tranquility is not granted to the people of many countries.
The covid-epidemic is a terrifying phenomenon, which is affecting the world without exception, including our continent. We worry and defend ourselves, at the mercy of governments, which assess the situation well or poorly. We Hungarians can be satisfied so far, as the government's quick response saved the lives of many thousands of people by taking immediate action. Speed came at a cost, but so did the vaccine and the ventilator. And our doctors and nurses remained faithful to their oath with superhuman performance.
Some opposition politicians reacted differently. He tried to use the emergency situation to gain party political advantage. They incited people's fear with lies and misrepresentation, in many cases successfully. As they said, they can make friends with the devil for power. They break the rules of public morality, they throw a fit against the classic legalities of democracy and the rule of law.
The pandemic provided lessons. We could notice that the politicians who hold the majority of the EU - instead of recognizing the covid strike and putting everything aside and working day and night to protect the population - prioritized their political goals. Due to their fault, the vaccine deliveries were delayed. The governments of many nations have prioritized more wisely and put saving lives first.
It is puzzling that those who live off the taxes of EU citizens do not learn from their serial mistakes. They are selfishly turning their backs on those to whom they owe their mandates. They have one goal in front of them, the creation of the United States of Europe as soon as possible. Respect for the exception, most of them represent nothing but their own interests. If we ask the question where is the respect for the rule of law and democracy, the authentic answer can be that it is certainly not in Brussels.
The representatives interested in one-party political globalism fail to consult the citizens of their country before taking their measures, even though they could do so through popular consultation or referendum. They use self-empowerment to decide on the issue of migration and LGBTQ management. Uniforms cannot be applied to the nations of Europe. Our citizens suffered from imperial oppression from both the left and the right. They know that this policy and the associated ideology of exclusivity will sooner or later bring wars and suffering. Europe's crisis is still smoldering. Peaceful coexistence and mutual respect for the alliance of sovereign nations can give hope for extinguishing this. On the other hand, hegemonic aspirations can fan the embers.
The common sense of civil people can be enough to admonish power-obsessed politicians. European citizens will not accept the possible occurrence of a third world war. The protection of our borders, the wealth of our continent built from the work of European people must be solved, and we cannot leave this to violent political and financial groups.
The borders of economic globalization are regulated by the market, while political globalization is controlled by mafia networks with a financial background that disregard the sovereignty of the people. As a reminder, let us recall the words of Sándor Petőfi: "Although the galley is above, / and the water is at the bottom, / the water is the master!"
Let's move to domestic waters. There have always been people selling out our country for their own interests, and now they have started active activities even before the parliamentary elections. Rowing on the backwaters of foreign interests, taking advantage of the political mainstream in the union, they cooperate to overthrow the government. Instead of bright winds, financial winds knead their sails. There is no doubt that if they were to come to power, our citizens would soon see the conditions of 2010. The so-called opposition parties have not been able to produce an acceptable statesman suitable for prime minister even in twelve years. On the government side, next to Europe's most experienced prime minister, there are talented young politicians who have proven themselves with their work.
Our economy is in order, and the future of our society gives us the right to good hopes. We can say with conviction that we should not give up the beaten path for the sake of the untravelled. Let's think about who we give our votes to with the common sense of peasants, townspeople, and even the capital. In the meantime, let's not forget that the power-hungry community led by Ferenc Gyurcsány devoured the independent political identity of several smaller parties. On the left, the multi-party system that characterizes democracy has disappeared. People can see that he eats, he doesn't eat, they can't get anything but Ferenc Gyurcsány and the discredited and talentless figures he created.
Advent has come and Christmas is approaching. Keeping the values of Christian civilization, let's turn inward for a little while in the name of love. Let's rest our fatigue, hug our loved ones.
Thinking of our Savior who was born, let us believe that next spring we can do a lot for a better future for our children and grandchildren.
