Internationally renowned British choreographer Rosie Kay was forced to leave the successful troupe she founded and bears her name, because she dared to express her opinion in connection with her upcoming production at a dinner organized for dancers in her own home, that biological sex can only be changed in imagination, not in reality. Adding that women's rights are impaired because of men who define themselves as women and therefore, for example, freely enter the women's toilet, since - based on her own personal experience - this can be experienced as a trauma by women like her who have previously been victims of sexual violence. This is what Rosie said, in her own home, over her own cooking. - writes Francesca Rivafinoli on the Sunday portal, continuing the story.
To his loss, however, there was an activist who defined himself as "trans non-binary" among his guests, who, together with some of his colleagues, immediately pressured his boss at the company's board of trustees. And there was no hesitation there: they immediately canceled the upcoming production, sent the choreographer to gender training, and then, for the sake of safety, they even sent an external consultant to thoroughly investigate this trans-exclusionist radical feminist woman (among the accusations was that when she showed her dinner guests around her house , also showed the children's room, which "uncomfortably" affected non-binaries).
Rosie Kay practiced self-criticism in the form of a public apology - but she was terribly naive to think she could get away with that. Indeed, one of the complainants demanded further action because he "did not feel from the apology" that the perpetrator was really aware of the blatantly transphobic nature of his behavior and statements. So now he finally had no other choice: he left the company he had built twenty years ago; his phone and e-mail account were immediately taken away from him, just to make him feel cared for even when he was leaving.
What does this have to do with us here in the Carpathian Basin?
