The Government of India has reinstated the official (FCRA) registration of Mother Teresa's sisters for foreign donations.
According to Vatican News, the decision "is also due to international pressure". The CitizenGo community also contributed to this success with their petition, the organization announced.
As you know, on Christmas Day, the Indian government forbade the Missionaries of Charity Congregation to accept foreign donations for their charitable work , thus seriously hindering their work.
The sisters were accused of forcibly converting Hindus to Christianity in their orphanage in the state of Gujarat. On the other hand, Mother Teresa's sisters denied all accusations, since they always help the poorest of the poor, regardless of religious affiliation, without expecting anything in return.
The CitizenGo community joined the international protest, speaking out so that the sisters could continue their work for the poorest in India.
Thank God for the rapid developments!
