The number of vaccinated people is 6,294,707, of whom 6,033,675 already received the second, and 3,292,175 received the third booster vaccination.
3,382 people have been confirmed newly infected, thus increasing the number of identified infected people to a total of 1,300,994 since the beginning of the epidemic. 69 people died, most of them old, chronic patients, so the number of deceased people rose to 40,016.
The number of people who have recovered is constantly increasing, currently 1,147,818 people, and the number of active infected people has risen to 113,160 people. 2,932 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, of which 274 are on ventilators. The omicron virus variant is also spreading in Hungary.
The vaccination campaign continues this week: on Thursday and Friday afternoons, as well as on Saturday, you can get vaccinated again without making an appointment at the hospital vaccination points and at the designated district center clinics. The third shipment of Pfizer's vaccine for children arrived today. Parents have already registered 71,000 children for vaccination, and 56,000 children have received it.
