The European Commission commits an open and deliberate violation of the law when, for the sake of political extortion, it completely illegally withholds funds from the Recovery Fund that belong to us, Hungarians, according to European legislation, wrote Tamás Deutsch in his Facebook post on Tuesday.
The Fidesz EP representative stated that the withholding of the Recovery Fund's resources is "open sabotage, with which the European Commission crosses not one, but at least half a dozen red lines".
Our position is clear: no matter what Brussels does, whatever works for the Hungarians, works! - pointed out Deutsch, who says that political blackmail from the EC is not simply to be condemned, but is an open violation of the law. "And against any violation of the law, even if it is committed by a European Union institution, namely the European Commission, we will act decisively!" Deutsch pointed out.
"We are saying slowly so that Brussels also understands: we will protect the resources that belong to the Hungarian people and we will use all means to ensure that EU pressure does not endanger these resources," concluded the Fidesz EP representative.
