In Hungary, the number of vaccinated people is 6,329,185, of which 6,073,498 have received the second, and 3,457,497 have already received the confirmatory, third vaccination. 15,957 new infected people were confirmed, increasing the number of identified infected people to 1,401,457 since the start of the epidemic. 65 people died, most of them old, chronic patients, so the number of those who died rose to 40,822, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Friday.
It was written on the government portal: the number of recovered people is constantly increasing, currently 1,193,210, and the number of active infected people has risen to 167,425. 2,674 coronavirus patients are being treated in the hospital, 201 of them are on ventilators.
They referred to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's statement on Friday morning, in which he drew attention to the rapid spread of the omicron virus variant, the current vaccination campaign and the fact that the immunity card will be converted into a vaccination card from February 15.
It was highlighted: the unvaccinated and those who received their previous vaccination more than four months ago are still waiting.
At the central vaccination points, you can still choose from five vaccines. They added that people over the age of 12 are welcome on the vaccination campaign days.
Vaccination of children aged 5-11 is only possible by prior appointment at hospital vaccination points or at family pediatricians.
The booster vaccination is recommended for everyone who received the previous vaccination more than four months ago. By administering the third vaccine, protection can be increased to 80-90 percent again, they wrote.
General practitioners also hold vaccination promotions in addition to vaccinations performed at the time of ordering, and are entitled to a separate reimbursement for the weekend vaccination promotion days.
They emphasized: the fourth vaccination can now be requested, even in the context of the current vaccination campaigns. The fourth vaccination can be requested over the age of 18, if four months have already passed since the third vaccination.
