The European Commission (EC) committed an open violation of the law, contrary to the relevant EU rules, asserting a political and ideological point of view, and does not disburse the recovery funds due to Hungary, said the head of the Fidesz European Parliament (EP) delegation in Kossuth Rádió's Sunday newspaper program.

Tamás Deutsch explained that Paulo Gentiloni, the Economic Policy Commissioner of the European Commission, said that they are not disbursing the resources of the recovery fund due to Hungary, because the committee has objections to the non-discrimination of Hungarian education regulations.

"This statement is an incredibly rude revelation," said the politician from the ruling party.

He pointed out that the Italian commissioner had previously said that the Hungarian child protection law does not play a role in the delaying behavior of the European Commission.

Now barely a month has passed and Commissioner Gentiloni will tell the truth, that is, that they are not disbursing the funds due to Hungary not simply in a politically unacceptable manner, but in open violation of the law, said Tamás Deutsch.

He emphasized that the European Court of Justice raises an objection in an issue that is purely a member state's competence, but even if this were not the case, it would not be possible to enforce any political aspect in the disbursement of funds.

After what happened, the Hungarian government will act against this illegal procedure with redoubled force, declared the Fidesz EP representative.

"Obviously, the admission of the European Commission, the recognition of sabotage, the recognition of open violation of the law cannot remain without consequences"

- said Tamás Deutsch, and then added that it is also possible to initiate legal proceedings on the part of the government, and Fidesz will raise the issue in all legal forums of the European Parliament.
