Mandiner.hu examines the 444.hu article about the confusion of the opposition coalition. According to what was read in the portal's article, "in really sensitive debates, the weekly meeting of party presidents is competent to decide (typically Márki-Zay also participates in this), but even there it is not always possible to end all conflicts". 444.hu refers to this as "The council of the bosses". However, as they write: "in addition, the atmosphere of the party president's meetings is slightly spoiled by the fact that Péter Jakab and Péter Márki-Zay are no longer on speaking terms with each other".
It is no coincidence that Jakab does not usually participate in the joint events of the party chairmen, he sends vice-chairman Dániel Z. Kárpát to public events instead of him," adds 444.hu.
In its Saturday article, the portal also mentions that, according to their information, "Márki-Zay's relationship with Ferenc Gyurcsány is not completely balanced either, especially after several people interpreted some of the DK president's statements at the beginning of December as testing the other party presidents to see if they see a way for the prime minister candidate to replace it. Since then, this matter has been cleared up, and everyone started the new year in such a way that no one would speculate about such things." That is why the opposition can proceed slowly with the joint list.
According to 444.hu, "the national list should also be decided in the circle of party presidents. At the very beginning of January, several of the leading politicians of the parties believed that the agreement could be reached within days after Péter Márki-Zay accepted: he cannot have a faction, he cannot put his own candidates on the list. In comparison, there is still no agreement," they say.
As the portal writes: "many people also believe that DK and Jobbik are blocking the deal, allegedly in order to keep LMP by their side for as long as possible".
According to the newspaper, "the LMP will have so few individual candidates - especially in districts with a chance of winning - that it would have to be amply compensated for its size with places on the list. There is a promise in principle that all six parties will have factions, but in order for LMP to be completely sure, we still need the firm support of DK and Jobbik".
They add: "the politicians of the MSZP and Momentum see that the DK and Jobbik consult in advance before important decisions anyway, and as long as the seats of the LMP are not knocked down, the Green Party will also vote with them, and thus they are strong enough to pass the their will".
"Feri, Szaszi and Peti agree in advance before the meetings" - "several opposition politicians said, referring to Ferenc Gyurcsány (DK president), Gábor Szabó (Jobbik caucus chairman) and Péter Ungár (LMP secretary). The DK politicians reject this theory, and they even called the separate negotiations with Jobbik a hoax," adds 444.hu to the above.
In the portal's article, he also mentions that, according to their information, no one from the opposition wants to be the president of the republic for the time being. As they write: "there is not even a unified opinion on whether the opposition should nominate the president of the republic." They add: "those approached in the first round did not want to take advantage of the opportunity."
2022Plus:
Compared to all that, they want to govern. The circus that Ferenc Gyurcsány, the head of the "council of bosses", presents to his colleagues every week. The Prime Minister candidate has neither a word nor a faction. Although they do not look down on Márki-Zay, they tolerate it for tactical reasons. It is also possible that in the end they will be imported from the rising dog party for an idiot prime minister.
