In the framework of the ceremony, the exhibition of the photographer Zsigmond Bálint, Close to People, organized by the House of Transylvanian Traditions, was opened in the Palace of Culture, followed by the performance of the Maros Artists' Group and the Spectrum Theater, the folk play Jeromos by Áron Tamási Tündöklő.

In his celebratory speech, János Árpád Potápi, the State Secretary for National Policy at the Prime Minister's Office, singled out courage and guidance among the characteristics of Áron Tamási. As he recalled, Tamási built the character of his novel's hero, Ábel, from his own experiences. The writer attributed his courage to saying that the meaning of life should not be sought in distant big cities or abroad, in the distance, but in the native land, in the intimate relationship with the native land.

"Over the past 12 years, we have jointly built and strengthened the institutions that hold Hungarians abroad in all areas of life: in politics, culture, education, churches, sports, the economy, we have strengthened communities and the system of relationships between communities," he reported. who is the secretary of state. He urged his audience to jointly defend the achievements achieved so far in the year of the acting nation.

Ferenc Péter, the president of the municipality of Maros County, stated in his greeting: "On the Day of Hungarian Culture, I express my gratitude for the fact that there are those who keep alive, pass on, and enrich Hungarian culture with new wonders here in Maros County.
