As part of the Transcarpathian social program package, the Prime Minister's State Secretariat for National Policy is announcing for the fourth time this year its program promoting the digital catch-up of Hungarian-inhabited settlements in Transcarpathia, which promotes broadband Internet access for Hungarian families. - can be read on the Kárpátalja.ma news portal.

The program has been announced by the State Secretariat for National Policy since 2019. Transcarpathia is organized by the "KMKSZ" Charity Foundation.

As part of the tender, you can apply for internet access and a 1-month subscription. In this year's announcement of the program, as well as last year, Hungarian public institutions in Transcarpathia can also participate in addition to private individuals. The total budget is HUF 25 million.

The call is extremely popular among applicants, as evidenced by the growing number of applications every year. In 2021, the number of applications submitted and won almost doubled compared to the previous year.

The topicality of the program is that broadband internet access greatly facilitates the participation of Hungarian students in distance education during the epidemic restrictions, and also promotes the expansion of the reception possibilities of the TV21 Ungvár Hungarian-language channel in those settlements inhabited by Hungarians, where terrestrial reception is not possible.

Applications for the call can be submitted until March 1, 2022 at the regional offices of the "KMKSZ" Charity Foundation.
