The number of vaccinated people in Hungary is 6,369,089, of which 6,111,632 received the second, and 3,712,974 received the confirmatory, third vaccination. 16,435 new infected people were confirmed, increasing the number of identified infected people to 1,616,846 since the start of the epidemic. 105, mostly elderly, chronic patients died, so the number of those who died rose to 41,741, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Friday.
It was written on the government portal: the number of people who have recovered is constantly increasing, currently 1,347,698, and the number of active infected people has risen to 227,407. 4,588 coronavirus patients are being cared for in the hospital, 168 of them are on ventilators.
They emphasized that 94 percent of infections are already caused by omicrons.
They added that the vaccination campaign will continue on Friday afternoon and Saturday at hospital vaccination points.
