The parliamentary state secretary of the Ministry of the Interior also said on his social media page that the weapon money, the one-time service allowance corresponding to six months' salary, will be transferred on February 10.

The salary increased by ten percent has arrived to the accounts of the professional law enforcement officers, and next week they will also transfer the gun money, which corresponds to six months' salary, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior announced on his social media page on Saturday.

In his video message, Károly Kontrát said: as the government had previously announced, the account of those with a professional legal relationship in law enforcement already received a ten percent increase in salary in February. According to his information, the weapon money, the one-time service allowance corresponding to six months' salary, will be transferred on February 10.

Everyone entitled to the gun money has already received their order, he added. Károly Kontrát highlighted the opposite: the government's two measures mean that the professional workforce will bring home nearly HUF 197 billion more money this year than in 2021, because "Hungary is going forward, not backward."
