The left would return to its insidious wage reduction policy before 2010, if it were to return to government. Péter Márki-Zay's anti-minimum wage statements make it clear that workers would be subordinated to market interests. - brought the Hungarian Nation in the morning, we will look at this.

Labor market expert Piroska Szalai warned that before 2010, under the left-wing government, the value of domestic earnings decreased significantly, even when the gross amount increased somewhat. Today, a Hungarian family can buy twice as much from its earnings as in 2010, and nearly one and a half million people have been protected from poverty.

The left did not deal with a real program that could be taken seriously for the workers. Recently, Péter Márki-Zay repeated the empty promises he made in the previous campaigns, concerning few people, in the program overview of the six left-wing parties.

The left is once again trying to pull the strings in front of those employed for the minimum wage with the promise of tax credits. However, this would mean a real increase in income for few people, since less than five percent of employees officially work for the amount of the minimum wage.

Moreover, the tax credit for the minimum wage is a clear admission that the left is preparing to abolish the current family support system. By withdrawing the tax credit for those with children, the standard of living of millions of people would decrease, including many minimum wage earners, since the child credit can currently be claimed from the pension contribution, not only from the personal income tax, and the child credit is already much more than the tax credit they mentioned.

Everything points to the fact that the left would still not have the interests of workers and families in mind, but rather the interests of foreign economic groups and international market players, and would hand over to Brussels a number of areas that are now regulated under national competence, among other things, which are important for people's livelihood wage regulation.

Péter Márki-Zay, the left-wing candidate for prime minister, has spoken out several times in the past. He admitted that he is on the side of the market players, but he expressed a disparaging opinion about the elderly and rural people, looking down on them. Therefore, the left probably did not bother with a more serious program aimed at protecting jobs and catching up with earnings, because they do not intend to take these steps.

That is why it can already be assumed that if the left wins on April 3, in the following years, the earnings of Hungarians would again be significantly different from Western European wages, poverty would deepen, and earnings would freeze or even decrease. International business circles would be given a free hand to keep wages low by sacrificing the interests of employees.

In contrast to the left-wing government, salaries increased significantly under the Orbán governments. The increase was not only visible in the gross amount, the catch-up can be felt and experienced, thanks to the fact that the real value of earnings also increased significantly. This is also true for the real value of the minimum wage. This means that the catch-up in wages exceeded inflation and actually increased purchasing power, thus the standard of living.

- So it is a left-wing fake news that we have the worst poverty in the entire European Union - emphasized the expert. Currently, the proportion of the poor is the ninth smallest in our country. The reality is that by 2010, poverty had reached enormous proportions, when more than a third of people living in households with children and more than a quarter of people living in households without children were affected. By 2020, the proportion for those raising children has halved to 17.6 percent, and for those without children to 18.6 percent. Since 2019, our country has been one of the EU countries where having children does not pose a risk of poverty.

A significant drop in the standard of living in Hungary can also be taken for sure if the left comes to power, because this was the only example during their government before 2010.

If they don't like it, then Feri will take care of their problems, as the 2006 protest poster shows!
