From today, the family tax refund will arrive in the bank account of those who requested delivery by bank transfer, Minister of Finance Mihály Varga announced on his social media page on Thursday.
He added: the amount paid by transfer exceeds HUF 561 billion, and every family will receive this by Monday at the latest - that is, before the legal deadline. Postal deliveries have already taken place, 160,000 families received nearly HUF 50 billion.
He highlighted: 610 billion forints will be returned to parents raising children with the family tax refund in February. The performance of the Hungarian economy provides an opportunity to strengthen families: last year was the largest economic growth in the past 30 years, and growth of well over 5 percent is expected this year as well - said Mihály Varga.
According to the head of the ministry, it is important that
the right to a tax refund cannot be lost,
it can be used in the tax return, for those who failed to submit the declaration by December 31 last year.
