The consular service recommends postponing trips to Ukraine in its recommendation on its website.
"Given the tension that has developed between Ukraine and Russia in recent days, we ask that they consider the necessity of their trip to Ukraine and, if possible, postpone it until later," the recommendation states.
As written: Citizens are once again reminded that if they do decide to travel or are staying in the region, they should register for consular protection.
Travelers and Hungarians in the country are advised to closely monitor local news and social media and follow the instructions of the authorities.
If anyone decides to travel to the country or stay there despite the call of the consular service, please note that due to the security situation, the consular service cannot necessarily guarantee assistance, they said in the updated recommendation.
